  • Management Systems Auditor

    Management Systems Auditor

    Location: UK Wide / home based

    Salary: Dependent on experience plus excellent benefits package including company car, laptop, private health insurance

    We are looking to recruit an experienced ISO 9001, 14001, 18001/45001, 27001 Management Systems Auditor into our UKAS approved certification body. We are a global business providing audit and certification services across both the UK and overseas through our network of partners.

    The role will plan and conduct professional management system audits at a wide variety of client premises, as well as undertake witness assessments, shadowing and assurance reviews of work undertaken by our overseas partners. It will be predominantly UK based but travel overseas may be required from time to time.

    The role will require a significant amount of travel across the UK and you must be able to be away from home on a regular basis.

    Essential Skills and Experience

    • Experience of auditing “third party certification body audits” management systems, ideally a combination of 9001, 14001, 18001, 45001, 27001
    • Excellent report writing skills, analytical and presentation skills
    • Highly self-motivated person working with minimal direction displaying a good level of credibility and responsibility
    • Lead auditor qualified to IRCA or equivalent
    • Experience or understanding of security methodologies and industry standards (e.g. ISO27001, (CIS) Critical Security Controls and PCI-DSS standards)
    • A broad understanding of technology security best practice
    • Strong understanding of information security principles, including current information security issues and trends
    • Clean driving licence
    • A good understanding of assessment and work experience preferably within the construction, manufacturing and engineering sectors

    Desirable Skills and Experience

    • SSIP auditor qualification
    • British Safety Council (BSC) Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health
    • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
    • NEBOSH Certificate in Construction
    • NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety
    • NCRQ Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health & Safety
    • Or Higher Health & Safety qualifications
    • IEMA qualification

    Desirable Skills and Experience for ISO 27001

    • Proven track record in an Information Security or IT Audit role
    • Experience of working in a security team
    • Experience with Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus
    • Experience in GDPR
    • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Professional (CCP) scheme – either SIRA, IA Auditor or IA Architect roles at any level
    • Full member of Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP)

    Main Duties

    • Contact clients to arrange audits and liaise with the customer services team to maximise diary availability and meet chargeable targets
    • Reviewing audit reports and compliance checks for audit activity across the UK and internationally
    • Responsible for planning and undertaking audit activities in accordance with standard operating procedures:
    • Write timely and accurate reports and under-take client follow-up
    • Provide certification recommendation
    • Delivery of assessment and certification services to meet customer requirements and accreditation standards
    • Ensure that client Non Conformities assigned to follow-up are answered in a timely manner, and review and analyse client answers
    • Provide, in a timely manner, answers to any requests arising during the technical review of files
    • Provide to the customer services team planned unavailability and constraints
    • Assist in the development of new business through providing sales leads to the sales team
    • Conduct file and contract reviews for UK and overseas clients, ensuring our overseas partners follow operational delivery process.
    • Witnessing and shadowing as necessary to support the management of the ACM competency framework
    • Identify business development opportunities

    The successful candidate will be Lead Auditor qualified with proven experience of auditing third party management systems, ideally across at least two of the following standards 9001, 14001, 18001, 27001 and 45001. We are prepared to support the development of the right candidate if one of the above competencies is not at the required level.

    We are looking to recruit experienced ACS/ Passport Assessor on both a permanent and zero hours contract our UKAS/SIA approved certification body. We are a global business providing audit and certification services across both the UK and overseas through our network of partners.

    The role will plan and conduct ACS and passport scheme audits at a wide variety of client premises, as well as undertake witness assessments, shadowing. It will be predominantly UK based but travel overseas may be required from time to time.

    Main Duties:

    • To carry out initial, surveillance & re-assessments of client management system to the requirements of the organisation’s documented policies, procedures and the requirements of recognised standards
    • Responsible for planning and undertaking audit activities in accordance with standard operating procedures:
    • Write timely and accurate reports and under-take client follow-up in line with any recommendations made
    • Provide certification recommendation
    • Delivery of assessment and certification services to meet customer requirements and accreditation standards
    • Ensure that client Non Conformities assigned to follow-up are answered in a timely manner, and review and analyse client answers
    • Provide to the customer services team planned unavailability and constraints
    • Assist in the development of new business through providing sales leads to the sales team

  • Technical Competence Co-ordinator

    Location: Leicester

    Salary: £ 17,500 – £ 19,500 – dependent on experience

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Ensure Certification personnel (auditors, decision makers, reviewers, technical experts etc) competence records are up to date and competent personnel easily identifiable. Collate and store this information in the required format
    • Ensure that decision making resources are adequate to meet the requirements
    • Liaise with the technical team to ensure that the auditor witness audit records are up to date
    • Ensure the competence review process is accurately and effectively administered with our decision makers and technical team

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure that all certification personnel have a required competences in place
    • Ensure the correct documentation is used for competence applications in line with the scheme management system
    • Coordinate the competency applications with auditor/technical expert and decision makers, including administration of examinations
    • Maintain CRM competence data and skills matrices for auditors, technical experts, reviewers and decision makers up to date
    • Liaise with international agents to resolve any issues with competence reviews
    • Liaise with UK auditors to resolve any issues with competence reviews
    • Liaise with UK Customer Service Team with any technical questions relating to competence approvals

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Essential Skills:

     An understanding of the requirements of a certifying body and of the management systems required to deliver an ISO certification services

    • Is able to process work in a timely manner whilst maintaining excellent levels of accuracy
    • Is able to work effectively both within a team environment, but also with a minimum level of supervision as appropriate
    • Good communication skills to liaising with internal and external clients in a professional manner
    • Good standard of written communication skills in order to liaise in a professional manner with agents, auditors and stakeholders
    • Has a good understanding of Microsoft packages
