Introduction

The situation regarding the Coronavirus diseases (COVID-19) is rapidly evolving; we are monitoring the situation and following the World Health Organisations recommendations (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019).

Taking action

Having taken in to consideration the effects and contagiousness of COVID-19 we have reviewed procedures and put together a contingency plan in accordance to UKAS’s guidelines (TPS 62 Edition 2 August 2016)

The safety of clients, team members and agents is paramount to ACM Certification therefore all travel to and from infected areas is not recommended.

Effect on assessments

It is ACM Certification’s policy to follow the World Health Organisations recommendations at all times, and local countries health advice were this is available, which means that there is no requirement for audits to be carried out at clients’ sites if they are taking precautions or suspect the area contains COVID- 19 virus. Nor is there any requirement for ACM Certification staff member or agent to travel to any area that they suspect contains the virus.

Clients affected will be contacted for suitable alternative arrangements to be made, if you feel your premise is unsuitable for audit please contact your account manager as soon as possible.
